since i am such a lazy unglamorous hermit these days, i thought it might be fun to share the aesthetic with which i am currently most inundated (as is my wont, yes?). plus it’s just easier right now.
this is “Louise,” on the right. Louise is loosely based on you-know-who, and is brilliantly portrayed by Briana Packen.
Louise is wearing a matching “sweater set” from All Saints, and a pendant necklace i borrowed from my moms. Louise starts off kinda a mess in our story, but then gradually gets a lot more elegant over time, partly due to the healthy influence of her fabulous underlings, and the fact she may or may not be totally in looove.
check out more of Louise and friends in PX This: The Series – Coming Soon! :)

next island: Lipari, which is the largest of all the Aeolian Islands. and you can kinda tell right away, it’s very crowded compared to all the others, it’s like the Meatpacking District of the Tyrrhenian Sea. despite its size however, it was the most difficult to get a decent dining recommendtion for; nobody we spoke to particularly enjoyed whatever culinary experience they’d had. unfortunately, a suggestion to dine at La Nassa came too late, so we decided on Filippino (oh the irony– haa, get it?) instead despite its half-hearted endorsement ("somewhat passé"). and yah, it did end up kinda sucking just a wee bit. afterward on our stroll back to the marina we happened to stumble upon La Nassa, and it was very cute so we all regretted not having tried it. oh well.
the next day was nice and breezy so Black Sea raised its sails, yay!
oh one other thing i should probably mention are the shady marina operators in Lipari. they’re all very competitive evidently, so they will lie right to your face telling you what you want to hear so you will pick their specific dock over all the others. merely a warning– cuz i think yacht politics is just so fascinating really.

okay i don’t know if you’ve noticed it by now, but i have a bit of a travel routine. i always fly out of NY in the black mesh dress, and i always fly back into NY in the flesh mesh dress (mess). i don’t know why, i just do.
as much as i really enjoy visiting Miami, it is pretty nice to click your heels… there’s no place like home… there’s no place like home.

this dress is actually this evening gown, just dumbed down by temporarily removing the beaded straps and whatnot. and this jacket is one of the first pieces i ever made, long before i even became Geld Iaz— it’s essentially the reason i decided i never ever ever wanted to tailor ever again, holy cow what a pain in the ass it was.
just running errands and things. really i wanted to check out these shoes at Burberry Prorsum in SoHo, but they didn’t have them in stock (thank gawd). but siiigh now i’m torn about whether i should simply order them online.
