“oh, ah-beee! tres biennn!” – azzedine alaïa

dress: Geld Iaz, 2003 | boots: Fendi, 2010

yah so, if by some chance you’ve read PX This and you happen to remember— this is the very same dress that Graziano de Boni and Caroline Fabre Bazin inquired about, during Paris Fashion Week, the same one i later sent to Caroline, except in a smoky grayish blue.

yup. just thought i’d revel in that again.

:)

same day | same time | same fucked up hair style

"… you look so different in all your pics… Do you style your own outfits? And hair and makeup…?"

hee eheee, no— i have a team of renowned experts fly in every day to meticulously curate my assiduously assembled outfits to impeccably create that optimal carelessly-thrown-together haphazard look.

come on now, peoples. you’re so silly :P

animal planet – 03

dress: Geld Iaz, 2008 | necklace: Geld Iaz / Joyce Leslie, 2011 | eyewear: Gucci, 2004

i didn’t actually make this dress from scratch, i found it in some store someplace on Broadway on sale for like $10. and at the time i liked the fabric, so even though the dress was too large and pretty hideous, i bought it anyway just so i could reconstruct it. i’m too lazy sometimes to make new things for myself with patterns and the whole rigmarole (plus my inventory of fabric is too costly for me to spoil myself with garments i’m just going to casually wear with flats and run around in all day). i’m really not that crazy about it, but at least it’s roomy and comfortable. the necklace i found in Joyce Leslie while i was buying leggings and tank tops (that i could also reconstruct). i thought the feathers were pretty, and i noticed they were cheaper than if i’d gone to the fabric/trimming district and bought them individually, imagine that. so i just played around with the feathers and stuff until the necklace was better.

art works – 05

Alex | commission; 2007 | each 18" x 24" | oil pastel and acrylic paint

this one is dedicated to my fan "Moira6," who apparently thinks i harbor some kind of anorexia fetish and help perpetuate unrealistic body image aspirations to the world’s impressionable youth, by glorifying compliant "malnourished" and "emaciated" brainwashed physiques.

Alex is probably my most favorite art job ever, she’s so sweet. she’d purchased three drawings of mine (and a dress) before finally commissioning a piece of her own— something she’d "always dreamed of doing." she’s also 5’2" and a perfectly healthy 114 pounds, by the way.

but who cares. go on and have that fifth donut you’re craving, Moira6, while you’re waiting for the elevator to ferry you down two whole flights of stairs. enjoy! no judgment here.

we are all God’s children and therefore perfect, bitches.

boots: Burberry Prorsum, 2011

ohhh, well hello there, beauties! come on in, make yourselves at home! :)

anyways, last night was dinner at Crown and then the premiere party for the Limelight documentary at Westway. apparently Westway is this old strip club that was taken over by a couple of promoters or something, but it doesn’t look like they did any renovations to it or anything. or maybe they did, and it’s just supposed to look busted. well anyhow my point is: the irony of celebrating the legendary Limelight in a venue like this (which evidently also hosted the Valentino Garavani party i mentioned last week) wasn’t entirely lost on some of us Limelight/Tunnel/Palladium/USA veterans. myyy how nightlife has changed.

bitches aint $h!t but clothes and kicks.
