the only reason i have this dress is because a client ordered one, but i ruined it while making it so i had to make it again. i had this bright idea to use clear nail polish to help seal possible runs in knits while inserting eyelets in the oh forget it never mind. in any case, it turns out i need to be a lot more careful where the nail polish drips.
no, seriously though— this is the very first time i wore these classic YSL Tributes since i got them last year, and they are, without a doubt, the most comfortable pair of (5.75 inch) stilettos i have ever donned (and i have worn me some heels boy, believe that). i practically jogged in them this day, i am not even kidding.

dinner at Kittichai to pre-sample their new Spring "Happy Hour" dinner special (50% off all bottles of wine – officially starting May 2nd). yea, life is rough.
i must say there are two things i’m starting to get really really really sick of. rain, and the color black.
o wait sorry, that’s way too shallow and fashiony sounding. what i really should say is: there are two things i’m starting to get really really really sick of: Climate Change, and the bleak and grim pervasive despondency persistently manifested in my quotidien sartorial selections.
[ ha ha ha ahaa uggh i’m a style blogger shoot me now ]
dinner at Gusto Ristorante e Bar Americano with Zainab Jah and Danai Gurira. (remember when Zainab Jah was a badassed rifle-toting hottie in The New York Times? i just love that photo.)
"friends & family" pre-opening drinks at Teatro aka Theater Bar.
this dress is actually this evening gown, just dumbed down by temporarily removing the beaded straps and whatnot. and this jacket is one of the first pieces i ever made, long before i even became Geld Iaz— it’s essentially the reason i decided i never ever ever wanted to tailor ever again, holy cow what a pain in the ass it was.
just running errands and things. really i wanted to check out these shoes at Burberry Prorsum in SoHo, but they didn’t have them in stock (thank gawd). but siiigh now i’m torn about whether i should simply order them online.
