we had a time.

i can’t say i knew her personally, but hers was the name i’d heard pop up up most often after the original publication of PX This. immediately following a brief initial bout of envy over her achievements, it was an honor to be associated in this way to such a successful one of the many brilliant and beautiful alumni of Coffee Shop.

not so long ago, after decades of having lost touch with each other, the “coffee-shoppers” came together to mourn the loss of a truly wonderful person– too closely in the wake of the demise of yet other remarkable friends. and it was then that we realized we’d unknowingly formed a bond all these years that was stronger and more profound than any other this crazy industry in this wild city had ever afforded us over our passionate lifetimes.

again we lament the loss of a star whose light is smothered too soon, but give thanks for the experience we shared to which none other can parallel.

“we had a time.”

Rest in peace, Erica Kennedy.

coconut oil kills staphylococcus aureus

eye em

siiigh i am stuck at my friend’s office, and my USB card reader isn’t working right.

but i just joined EyeEm if you want to look at some pretty pictures! i mean, is it me or did Instagram get just a wee bit sucky after Facebook bought it? people keep abusing the hashtags now, those jerkfaces. i’m hoping maybe Instagram will just remain more like the social media thing, but EyeEm will endure as mostly the funky artsy thing. already EyeEm seems to appreciate my random photographs more than Instagram does, so that’s nice.
